Upcoming Clearwater Aging Well Center Programs

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Aging Well Center, located in the Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Road, will host a variety of upcoming programs. For more information or to pre-register, call (727) 724-3070.

Highlights include:

U.S. Railroad: North from Florida

Monday, Jan. 9, 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Bill Welch will explore the fascinating 20th century process for moving perishable fresh fruits and vegetables from Florida to northern markets in ice cooled, railroad refrigerated boxcars. Free.

Knitting 2 Intermediate

Monday, Jan. 9 to Feb 27, 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Join Maggie Vricos to learn a variety of patterns while creating a beautiful scarf or the elegant German Short Row Shawl. $44(W) / $49 (W/O) for six-week course. No class on Jan. 16 and Feb. 20. Supply list provided.
